As you guys may know, I have always had a soft spot for Shirley Horn and her sensual approach to music. Have you ever seen her interpretation of »A Time for Love« on YouTube? Seven minutes that are sexier than Rihanna’s entire career. I recently took her 1992 album »Here’s to Life« off the shelf again and am falling for it all over again. This is timeless! This is pure enchantment! It is music like this that will carry you through the funkiest of times. Life is shaking me roughly right now, the changes are profound and aching. It’s a bit like giving birth, I suppose. You have to go through the hardships to fully appreciate and accept the results…
